I recently completed a trip to the great southwestern United States. Although the drive from South Florida was often grueling, the trip was more than worthwhile. When we returned, I felt invigorated and excited about this wonderful nation in which we live. With the negativity and personal attacks televised for the world to see, I thought this was a good time to remind myself (and maybe others) of the beautiful land we inhabit. So, I have included below a series of pictures that my wife and I took while traveling through New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Kansas, Texas, and Missouri. I invite you to enjoy them and remember that when the world seems to be closing in on you, get in the car and just drive around. You'll see so much around you to be thankful for. Often when I get to feeling a bit blue, I drive to the ocean (about five miles from my house) and realize that there is too much beauty in this world to spend time feeling bad. That always cheers me up! Please remember that all of these photographs are copyrighted and not available to be copied.
